The best general tso chicken I've had in a very long time. I don't know if this is normal for them, or if it'll be the same way every time I come there, but tonight? April 26, 2024?! This general tso chicken is hitting all the right places. Also got boneless spare ribs and shrimp w/ brocoli. Three items and white rice all for $11?! Can't get no better.
Food and service is fantastic, would definitely come back in the future, food prices are reasonable and their buffet deal is totally worth the price!!!
If you're looking for the best Chinese food in East Orange, Jersey Gourmet is the spot. The flavors are always on point, the portions are generous, and the service is quick and friendly. Whether you're grabbing takeout or dining in, everything from the General Tso's Chicken to the Lo Mein is fresh, hot, and delicious. It’s hard to find quality like this in the area. Jersey Gourmet is hands down my go-to for Chinese food. Highly recommend.
Being a vegetarian I usually struggle to find a good hearty meal but I’ve found my spot. The vegetable lo mein with potatoes and sautéed string beans is amazing, very filling and tasty. Will be back again!
This is my favorite place to grab lunch during work. Quick service, affordable prices, and great portions. Bonus points for the cozy cafe vibe—sometimes I stay after eating just to enjoy a cappuccino and get some emails done.
I've never had a bad experience at Jersey Gourmet. The food is consistently delicious, and all employees are always welcoming. You can tell they care about their customers and the quality of what they serve.
Jersey Gourmet is like a mini food court but with way better quality. Whether I want a strong coffee, some good chinese food, or a scoop of mint chip ice cream, it’s all here. Super clean and friendly staff, too.
This spot is an absolute staple, love their Chinese food. My go-to order is the butter shrimp with whatever veggie/main I'm feeling. Portion size to price ratio is pretty decent. Definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you're in town. Overall, they've got fast service, friendly staff, great food.
Jersey Gourmet is the best restaurant that I've ever eaten at in all of New Jersey! It's my absolute favorite restaurant in Jersey! I love it! Rebecca is the best! She is the most kindest, caring, lovable, great to talk to, down to earth, sweetest, most respectful, thoughtful, warm hearted, heart of gold, super cool, restaurant staff member that I have ever met in my entire life! And I really truly mean every word that I'm saying in this review. Seriously from the bottom of my heart all the way to the top! No lie. She really goes above & beyond with her outstanding service of excellence. I couldn't ask for a better restaurant staff member than her because I haven't seen any others that's like her! I give her & Jersey Gourmet the highest ratings ever! She always brings me so much joy from the time I enter the restaurant, while I'm there the entire time & even as I'm leaving! I am so grateful that she works at Jersey Gourmet & I'm always so glad to see her in the restaurant every time that I go there! Rebecca you're incredible & your kindness & super awesome personality will never go unnoticed. She is the real deal & she's always the same unchanging, smiling, & happy person that I am so proud & happy to call my new friend! And that is so hard to find in people.
